Wild Florida is thrilled to announce the successful hatching of a rare albino alligator at its Gator Park. This new addition followed a meticulous 60-day incubation period, overseen by the park’s dedicated Croc Squad, marking the third successful hatching in their unique albino alligator breeding program.

“With the hard work and dedication of our Croc Squad, we worked together to produce one perfect healthy albino alligator hatchling this season,” said Andrew Ayala of the Croc Squad. “We are most proud of the parents, Snowflake and Blizzard, who continue to beat the odds and be a one-of-a-kind experience for guests.”

The incubation period involved keeping the albino eggs in a climate-controlled room accessible only to the Croc Squad, ensuring optimal conditions for the eggs. This level of care is crucial as albino alligators face significant challenges in reaching maturity in the wild. Wild Florida is committed to providing the best possible environment for these rare creatures to thrive.

Snowflake and Blizzard, the parent albino gators, have been residents of Wild Florida for seven years, with their last successful hatching occurring in the summer of 2022. The new hatchling will be introduced to the public at Gator Park after a month of growth and development.

Guests can view Snowflake and Blizzard in their exhibit or participate in the unique Albino Gator encounter, where they can take on the role of an animal trainer and observe the alligators’ behaviors. Wild Florida offers discounted rates for Florida residents, making it an accessible and educational destination for all.

Operating in the heart of Central Florida, Wild Florida provides a unique eco-tour and wildlife experience through airboat tours, animal encounters, and a Drive-thru Safari Park. The company is dedicated to connecting guests with nature and promoting wildlife conservation.
