The West Virginia Department of Tourism has unveiled a statewide Paranormal Trail, offering thrill-seekers the chance to explore 14 haunted locations across the state.
Visitors can register online to receive a digital passport, allowing them to check in at spooky sites, earn points, and unlock prizes such as a sticker, beanie, and a limited-edition print by local artist Liz Pavlovic.

“We created the Paranormal Trail to tap into the growing demand for spooky and unique destinations,” said Chelsea Ruby, Secretary of the West Virginia Department of Tourism.
Highlights include the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum, the eerie Lake Shawnee Abandoned Amusement Park, and the infamous Mothman Museum.
