Vivid Sydney, Australia’s largest festival, returns from May 23 to June 14, 2025, with the theme “Dream”, transforming the city into a creative wonderland.
Now in its 15th year, the festival will feature breathtaking light installations, music performances, thought-provoking talks, and culinary experiences.

Over 75% of the program, including the Vivid Light Walk, will be free. Highlights include David McDiarmid’s “Kiss of Light” on the Sydney Opera House, Vincent Namatjira’s “King Dingo” at the Museum of Contemporary Art, and Romance Was Born’s “House of Romance” at Customs House.
Culinary star Nigella Lawson will curate three exclusive Vivid Sydney Dinners in the Muru Giligu tunnel, alongside the return of Vivid Fire Kitchen and Chef Series.

Meanwhile, the Ideas program will feature TIME Magazine’s D.W. Pine and sleep scientist Professor Matthew Walker. Netflix’s “Stranger Things: The Experience” will make its Australian debut at Luna Park Sydney.
Music performances will include Anohni and The Johnsons, Beth Gibbons, Sigur Rós with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and Japanese Breakfast, plus free concerts at Tumbalong Nights.
Vivid Sydney 2025 is supported by major partners Samsung, Estée Lauder, and Ausgrid, with Airbnb as the Community Partner and Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation as the Charity Partner.
