United Airlines will introduce daily nonstop service between Ontario International Airport (ONT) and Chicago O’Hare (ORD) starting May 2025, expanding connectivity from Southern California’s Inland Empire to one of the world’s busiest airports.
Flights will depart ONT at 7 a.m. Pacific Time and return from ORD at 7:55 p.m. Central Time, ensuring convenient connections to United’s global network of 180+ destinations.

The route will be operated using a Boeing 737-800 with 166 seats across First, Economy Plus, and Economy classes.
ONT officials welcomed the expansion, with OIAA President Alan D. Wapner emphasizing the airport’s continued growth, now serving 27 nonstop destinations. United’s new service complements its existing ONT routes to Denver, Houston, and San Francisco.
Ontario International Airport saw over 7 million travelers in 2024, a 27% increase from pre-pandemic levels, solidifying its status as California’s fastest-growing mid-sized airport.
