Under Canvas, the leader in luxury outdoor hospitality, has announced the opening of its first-ever Pacific Northwest location in the Columbia River Gorge, Washington.
The new camp, set to welcome guests starting May 29, 2025, will offer stays through October 27, 2025, and is now accepting reservations. Located on a 120-acre property in the White Salmon River Valley, the camp will provide stunning views of Mount Hood and is just an hour’s drive from Portland, Oregon.

The camp will feature upscale, safari-style canvas tents equipped with king-size beds, gas fireplaces, and ensuite bathrooms with hot showers and flushing toilets. The communal lobby tent, furnished by West Elm and decorated with local artwork, will offer comfortable lounge areas, a boutique retail shop, and a yoga deck.
Guests can enjoy freshly prepared, seasonal dishes with West Coast flair, including locally sourced seafood and curated regional wines and craft beers.
Under Canvas Columbia River Gorge will also offer a range of onsite activities, including live acoustic music, daily yoga, kids’ programs, and nightly s’mores. Adventure enthusiasts can take advantage of the camp’s concierge services to book outdoor experiences such as rafting, paddleboarding, and hiking.
