After a year of challenges, Tweetsie Railroad is bringing holiday magic back to the Blue Ridge Mountains with the return of Tweetsie Christmas®, running on select evenings from November 29 to December 30. This cherished seasonal event offers families a festive escape filled with sparkling lights, joyful experiences, and timeless traditions.
“This year, Tweetsie Christmas is more meaningful than ever,” said Chris Robbins, President of Tweetsie Railroad. “It’s about more than lights and decorations—it’s about creating a joyful experience where families can come together to celebrate the season.”

Festive Highlights
- Enchanted Train Ride: Guests can embark on a 20-minute journey aboard a historic steam locomotive, traveling a 3-mile route adorned with nearly one million twinkling lights.
- Winter Wonderland: The park will be transformed into a nostalgic holiday paradise with dazzling displays, festive scenes, and countless photo opportunities.
- Visit with Santa: Children can meet Santa Claus at his Gingerbread House, share their holiday wishes, and leave letters in his mailbox. Families can download a “Dear Santa” template in advance for added fun. Santa will be present nightly through December 23.
- Live Entertainment: The Tweetsie Palace will host a lively holiday musical performance, perfect for all ages.
- Outdoor Fun: Guests can gather around an outdoor fire to roast s’mores and enjoy the crisp mountain air.

To ensure a smooth and magical experience, advance tickets are required, with guests selecting a specific date and train ride time at purchase. The park opens at 5:30 p.m., allowing ample time to explore the festivities before or after the scheduled train ride.
