As part of the campaign, Travel Guard is offering free Depart Smart™ travel safety training, originally developed by Sheryl Hill, who founded the non-profit Depart Smart after her son Tyler’s preventable death abroad in 2007. Now, Travel Guard continues her mission by equipping students with essential safety skills and contingency planning resources.
“International travel offers incredible educational opportunities, but students face unique risks,” said Rhonda Sloan, Senior Vice President, Travel Guard. “We are honored to continue Sheryl’s legacy by providing free safety training and resources to help students travel smart and stay safe.”
The campaign also includes resources for parents, schools, and chaperones, encouraging students to take responsibility for trip research and planning. For more information, visit www.travelguard.com or follow Travel Guard on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
