Recently recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, Songkran will be celebrated with eight themed parades, including a headline procession from Democracy Monument to Sanam Luang on 12 April and daily float displays through 15 April.
The festival will also feature five regional Songkran zones, traditional rituals, interactive activities, and nightly concerts with artists such as Bodyslam, Carabao, Jeff Satur, and The Toys.
Attendees can enjoy a Thai fair, haunted house, Ferris wheel, and over 100 food and craft booths. To enhance the experience, a new web app will offer real-time updates, maps, and showtimes.
Safety will be reinforced with 24-hour multilingual tourist police support and emergency services via the Thailand Tourist Police app.
In line with sustainable tourism goals, the GCYOU-TURN initiative will promote plastic recycling and upcycling during the event. Meanwhile, regional Songkran festivals under the “Yen Tua La Maha Songkran” banner will unfold in cities such as Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, and Ayutthaya.
Tourism officials anticipate 26.5 billion Baht in revenue between 12–16 April, driven by 4.4 million domestic trips and over 476,000 international arrivals.
