Talking Stick Resort, owned by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC), has been honored as the “Best Casino” in azcentral.com’s 2024 Community Choice Awards. This recognition is part of the East Valley, Best of the Desert segment of the awards program and underscores the resort’s commitment to excellence.
Public Recognition
The nomination for Talking Stick Resort came from public votes, with the casino-resort competing against three other Valley casino properties. Ramon Martinez, Director of Public Relations for Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort, expressed gratitude for the accolade, emphasizing its significance due to the public’s involvement in the selection process. “It tells us that we are moving in the right direction and that our guests are enjoying what we offer,” Martinez stated.

Community Choice Awards
The Community Choice Awards annually acknowledge over 600 businesses and organizations across 220 categories, including Beauty & Health, Dining, Shopping, Sports & Fitness, and Entertainment & Leisure. The public nominates businesses, leading to the selection of five nominees in each category for both the East and West Valley competitions. Voting then determines the finalists and winners, who are announced at a gala event held at the Omni Resort & Spa at Montelucia in June.
Recent Enhancements
This award follows significant enhancements at Talking Stick Resort, which unveiled new and renovated amenities this year. The updates include the ARENA Poker Room, Arizona’s largest with 68 tables; a redesigned Showroom featuring intimate concert seating and 92 LED video screens; and new sportsbook and lounge areas.
