Tabbit Tours has introduced a new day-trip tour combining bus and bicycle travel in Ishioka City, Ibaraki Prefecture. The “Sports Support Bus x Active Bicycle Tour” allows participants to explore historic sites and Edo-period culture with flexible cycling routes.
As part of Japan’s Regional Tourism New Discovery Project and the Edo Kaido Project, the tour utilizes the Sports Support Bus, a vehicle that carries both passengers and sports gear, including up to 10 bicycles. This allows visitors to cycle in selected areas while covering longer distances comfortably by bus.

A flint-making workshop offers a hands-on Edo-era experience. The 25 km cycling route includes scenic spots like the Koiseyama Cycling Road, known for its romantic legend, and Asahi Pass, offering views of Mount Fuji on clear days.
The tour runs on May 10 and May 18, 2025, with prices set at ¥27,500 per adult and ¥26,000 per child. It departs from JR Ishioka Station at 9:30 AM, returning around 5:30 PM. A minimum of five participants is required.
