Strider Bikes hosts the Strider Cup in Downtown Rapid City, SD on September 14, 2024, for kids aged 2-6, featuring thrilling balance bike races and fun family activities.

Strider Bikes is thrilled to announce the Strider Cup, the ultimate kid race on two wheels, set to take place in Downtown Rapid City, SD on September 14, 2024. This event welcomes Strider riders aged 2-6 to test their balance bike skills in the highest-level national Strider-sanctioned races, promising a fun and unforgettable experience for young participants from around the globe.

Event Overview

The Strider Cup features unique races tailored to children of all skill levels:

  • Sprint Race: For 2, 3, and 4-year-olds, toddlers—some still in diapers—race on their Strider bikes in balance mode. This race offers an amazing opportunity for kids to experience the thrill of racing and build self-confidence as hundreds of families cheer them on.
  • Adventure-Cross Stage Race: Designed for 4, 5, and 6-year-olds with endless energy, this race involves running, striding, and pedaling through a course filled with exciting obstacles. Participants will navigate through rocks, puddles, and more, with parents and guardians involved at pit stops, making for a dynamic family event.

All activities will be held at Main Street Square, a short distance from Strider Headquarters.

  • 8:00 – 8:45 AM – Open Track for all racers
  • 9:00 – 11:00 AM – 2-Year-Old Sprint Race (12″ Bikes)
  • 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM – 4-Year-Old Sprint Race (12″ Bikes & 14x Bikes in Balance Mode)
  • 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM – Lunch Break
  • 1:00 – 2:30 PM – 3-Year-Old Sprint Race (12″ Bikes & 14x Bikes in Balance Mode)
  • 3:00 – 3:30 PM – 4-Year-Old Stage Race (14x Bikes in Balance & Pedal Mode)
  • 3:30 – 4:00 PM – 5-Year-Old Stage Race (14x Bikes in Balance & Pedal Mode)
  • 4:00 – 4:30 PM – 6-Year-Old Stage Race (14x Bikes in Balance & Pedal Mode)
