The 2025 St. Thomas Carnival wrapped up with unforgettable energy, uniting locals and visitors in a vibrant celebration of Caribbean culture, music, and heritage.
Powered by the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism, this year’s Carnival Village drew thousands to the heart of Charlotte Amalie for a week that shone with world-class performances and community spirit.
Kicking off on April 28, the Carnival Village stage roared to life as soca icon Farmer Nappy set the tone with a powerhouse performance.

The excitement continued through the week, with high-energy sets from Jamaican dancehall sensation Valiant on May 1 and soca star Lyrikal on May 2, each drawing massive crowds and electrifying the atmosphere.
The lineup reflected the Carnival’s regional significance, featuring a mix of beloved local and international acts. Kes the Band, Shabba Ranks, Pumpa, and Pressure Busspipe all delivered standout performances that showcased the musical diversity and cultural pride of the Virgin Islands and the wider Caribbean.

“This celebration isn’t just about entertainment—it’s a showcase of who we are as a people,” said Joseph Boschulte, Commissioner of the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism. “Carnival drives economic activity, strengthens our brand as a cultural destination, and most importantly, brings our community together in pride and joy.”
Adding to the nationwide exposure, iHeartRadio’s Way Up with Angela Yee aired live from Carnival Village. Joined by The Jasmine Brand, Maino, and DJ Whutever, the show amplified the festivities to a broader audience.

Maino’s emotional reconnection with his St. Thomas roots, alongside interviews with Governor Albert Bryan Jr., Commissioner Boschulte, and featured artists like Pressure Busspipe and Temisha, brought personal and cultural stories to the forefront.
From the dazzling musical acts and cultural showcases to the local cuisine and warm island hospitality, St. Thomas Carnival Village 2025 stood as a testament to the vibrancy and resilience of the U.S. Virgin Islands. As the music fades, its impact—on community, culture, and tourism—resonates far beyond the shores of the Caribbean.
