It even has a royal touch, having been opened by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 1956.

Festival-goers can pitch their tents up at the beauty spot between 1-4 August with a star-studded line-up including Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Tinie Tempah, The Feeling and Sister Sledge, featuring Kathy Sledge.

Those looking to party the night away can also enjoy DJ sets from Phil Hartnol, Mungo’s Hi-fi, Chainska Brassika and Supalung.

As with any great festival, there are also daytime events such as comedy performances and cooking classes – including the notable Romy Gill MBE – as well as great street food.

Not forgetting the little ones, Valley Fest is hosting a Junior Jungle, too – a mini rave to get the kids in a festival mindset early.

Luke Hasell, a regenerative and organic farmer, set up the festival in 2014 in honour of his parents.

“Eclectic as ever – from pop to rock, disco to DJs and everything in between, everyone needs to get on my land and celebrate our big birthday,” he said.

“Packed with wholesome fun, families – you’ll find something for your toddlers, teens, parents and grandparents.”

Of course, the pièce de résistance comes as the sun sets over the lake, where green trees and fields can be spotted as far as the eye can see.

In a post on Instagram, which has racked up hundreds of likes, a beautiful blue sky reflects over the festival grounds.

Users have flocked to the comment section to share their excitement.

Matt said: “Can’t wait, the most beautiful festival in the UK by far.”

Along with sharing the beautiful land within his community, Luke’s also raised over £70,000 for charity and partnered with Yeo Valley and art collective Arcadia, who both used to be supporters of Glastonbury.

He’s aiming to add an educational element this year with talks on regenerative farming, demonstrations on how to look after the land and soil, and welding workshops for all ages.

At night, a Rolls Royce jet engine called an ‘Afterburner’ will fire up, producing flames and cutting-edge performances – not to mention the ‘Lord of Lightning’ with his electrifying act.
