Now reimagined with modern touches like a curtain wall inspired by New York’s Morgan Library & Museum, The Heritage bridges past and present in one of Korea’s most visited districts.
The five-story space immerses visitors in Korean culture: the top floor showcases traditional crafts in the House of Shinsegae Heritage, while the fourth floor features a museum of contemporary artifacts and digitally restored images of Myeong-dong from the 1930s and 1950s.
At ground level, a CHANEL boutique designed by Peter Marino anchors the experience with cutting-edge luxury inside a heritage shell.
Shinsegae, Korea’s first department store since 1963, continues its legacy as a trendsetter in Korean lifestyle and retail.
With The Heritage, it offers global visitors a unique encounter with Korean beauty, craftsmanship, and commercial history—solidifying Myeong-dong’s role as a vibrant cultural and shopping destination.
