Seabourn, known for its ultra-luxury voyages, has announced two new Solar Eclipse cruises set for August 2026.
These cruises aboard Seabourn Ovation and Seabourn Sojourn will offer guests unique viewing opportunities of the total solar eclipse on August 12, 2026, as the ships are positioned in Northern Europe and the Mediterranean for optimal viewing, subject to weather conditions.

Seabourn Ovation’s 14-day West Ireland Gems & Solar Eclipse voyage departs from Dover on August 8, 2026, and sails to Reykjavik, with special eclipse viewing off the coast of Ireland. Onboard, guests can attend eclipse-themed talks by Jane A Green, Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society.
Seabourn Sojourn’s 10-day Spanish Gems & Solar Eclipse voyage departs from Barcelona on August 7, 2026, exploring the Mediterranean and offering eclipse views in the Balearic Sea. Science broadcaster Dallas Campbell will provide insights during the voyage.
Both ships offer Seabourn’s renowned luxury experience, enhanced by SpaceX’s Starlink for greater connectivity. The cruises, along with the Europe 2026 season, go on sale October 10, 2024.
