Rosewood Hotels & Resorts® has unveiled plans for Rosewood Residences Old Lighthouse, a luxurious residential community in Los Cabos, Mexico. Spanning 550 acres at the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula, where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean, this new development will blend the natural beauty of Los Cabos with Rosewood’s signature residential experience.
Developed in partnership with the renowned Coppel family, the project aims to create a community that fosters connection and discovery. The centerpiece of Old Lighthouse will be a collection of elegantly designed Rosewood Residences, offering the most extensive range of exclusive amenities and services in Rosewood’s residential portfolio to date.

Set amidst the dramatic coastline, the residences will be built around El Faro Viejo, the region’s oldest structure, dating back to 1905. This historical site has been preserved by the Coppel family for over twenty-five years, providing a harmonious blend of rich history and modern luxury.
The development will offer a diverse selection of expansive homes, ranging from 4,000 to over 10,000 square feet, each occupying approximately 0.7 acres. The residences, designed by Gomez Vazquez International and Studio Lifestyle, will feature both turnkey luxury villas and customizable lots. Each home will seamlessly integrate indoor and outdoor living spaces, with materials and finishes chosen to harmonize with the natural environment.
Rosewood Residences Old Lighthouse will offer a range of curated experiences and amenities. The Cliff House, designed by architect Manuel Cervantes Céspedes and interior designer Bibiana Huber Diaz, will be the community’s hub, featuring a five-star restaurant, a high-energy bar, and an outdoor events facility. The Beach Club will offer multiple pools, cabanas, beachfront dining, and a world-class spa. Additional amenities include The Family Athletic Center, providing sports fields and fitness facilities, and a Wellbeing Center with holistic therapies. Residents will also have access to a private Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course.
The development will offer a range of outdoor and cultural activities, including horseback riding, stargazing, fishing, and snorkeling. A dedicated Rosewood Residential team will provide round-the-clock support, ensuring personalized service and creating moments of surprise and delight.
Brad Berry, Vice President of Global Residential Development at Rosewood Hotel Group, expressed excitement about the project: “Our partnership with Ernesto Coppel and the Coppel family will revitalize one of Los Cabos’ most iconic addresses and provide discerning buyers with an unmatched living experience in a remarkable setting.”
Jose Luis Mogollon, Managing Partner at Old Lighthouse, added: “Crafting memorable and personalized experiences at every touchpoint, Rosewood brings a distinct exclusivity and level of service to this project that will set Rosewood Residences Old Lighthouse apart from other residential offerings in Los Cabos.”
