The Rochester Fringe Festival revealed its 2024 lineup at the “Big Reveal” Press Conference today, announcing over 650 performances across more than 30 venues in downtown Rochester, New York, from September 10 to 21. The festival, celebrated as one of the largest and most successful fringe festivals in the U.S., is the biggest multidisciplinary performing arts festival in New York State and has been recognized by the New York Times as a prominent multidisciplinary event.
A highlight of this year’s festival is the world-renowned Architects of Air’s Daedalum luminarium, which will be on display for all 12 days. Since its inception in 1992, over three million visitors in more than 40 countries have experienced these monumental luminaria, designed by Alan Parkinson and handcrafted in Nottingham, England. The Daedalum is a maze of winding paths and domes that provide a sensory experience for visitors.
