Ontario International Airport (ONT) officials expect 2.22 million passengers this summer, a 1.7% increase from 2024, as airlines expand flights to 12 popular U.S. and international destinations. The travel season runs from May 23 to September 1, covering Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Airlines will offer more than 2.8 million seats this summer, up 3.4% year-on-year, with 77.8% occupancy anticipated. Key new and expanded services include daily flights to Baltimore/Washington (Southwest), Chicago O’Hare (United), and New York JFK (JetBlue), as well as increased frequencies to Dallas/Fort Worth, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, and Seattle.

International additions feature expanded routes to Mexico—Guadalajara, León, Los Cabos, and Morelia (Volaris)—and a new service to Taipei, Taiwan (STARLUX Airlines).
Atif Elkadi, CEO of the Ontario International Airport Authority, hailed ONT’s growth: “With more flights, more destinations, and more options than ever before, ONT is strengthening its role as a key player in the region’s air travel landscape.”
He also emphasized customer-friendly services including curbside ride-share access, Aspire Lounges, 3Sixty Duty-Free shopping, competitive parking options, and pre-booking discounts.
Travelers are reminded of the May 7, 2025 deadline for Real ID-compliant driver’s licenses for domestic flights. Updated travel information is available through ONT Radio at 620AM and online streaming.
