The Town of Vail, Vail Resorts, and East West Partners have announced a partnership to develop a new base village at West Lionshead, enhancing Vail Mountain’s world-class reputation.
This project, which replaces the former Ever Vail site, will provide direct access to Vail’s 5,317 acres of terrain, along with new lodging, restaurants, boutiques, and skier services. Community benefits include workforce housing, public spaces, and improved transit.

The Vail Town Council unanimously approved the partnership, emphasizing its importance for both residents and visitors.
East West Partners will lead the project’s design and development, with input from the community. Vail Resorts has also dropped its appeal concerning the Town’s East Vail property, previously slated for affordable housing.
“This new base village will ensure Vail remains a top destination and vibrant community,” said Mayor Travis Coggin. Beth Howard of Vail Mountain and Chris Frampton of East West Partners also praised the collaborative effort.
Community engagement begins this fall, with the project subject to approval processes.
