HALO Space has unveiled its groundbreaking expeditions, promising the ultimate ‘glamping’ experience by whisking tourists 18 miles into the stratosphere in a balloon. Set to begin in 2026, these five-hour excursions are designed to redefine space tourism, combining the thrill of near-space travel with luxury and comfort.
These unique journeys, envisioned as the space tourism equivalent of glamping, offer gourmet cuisine before take-off and maximum comfort throughout the trip.
The innovative design, led by renowned Ferrari FXX designer Frank Stephenson, features 360-degree views of constellations and planets, ensuring an unforgettable visual experience.
Currently, HALO Space operates from two bases located in Spain and Saudi Arabia, with plans for additional bases in the works.

The Spanish flights will provide breathtaking views of the Gibraltar Strait and Africa, while the Saudi Arabian flights will offer stunning vistas of the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea. The entire journey, including travel to and from the stratosphere, takes less time than a flight from New York to London.
On the day of departure, guests will have the chance to witness a sunrise from the stratosphere. After lift-off, they can move around the cabin to fully enjoy the spectacular views.
This unparalleled experience is set to be priced around £106,000 (EUR 155,000), which includes a range of pre- and post-flight activities designed to enrich the overall experience.
HALO Space’s flights are designed to be zero-emission, highlighting the company’s commitment to sustainability. Once the balloon reaches an altitude of over 30 kilometers, passengers will be treated to the awe-inspiring sight of the Earth’s curvature, known as the ‘overview effect’.

Prospective passengers can book their seats a year in advance, with HALO Space aiming to carry 3,000 passengers annually on 400 trips.
