The latest unique overnight experience is here – and it offers you the chance to spend the night in a ‘bird’s nest’.
While that may sound a little gross, this resort is no scratchy pile of twigs and leaves – instead, it’s part of a luxury jungle resort, as reported on Luxury Travel Daily.
The hillside Keemala retreat in Phuket, Thailand offers a whimsical stay in the trees in one of their ‘bird’s nest’ villas.

Created with dark wood and on a strong oak stand, these villas were made to give the effect of a woven bird’s nest.
To get up to the villa, you have to climb a steep, wooden ladder which takes you directly into your room.
Inside, the expansive bathroom has a monsoon shower and stand-alone bathtub with a lovely view.
There is also the beautiful, netted king size bed, pool, and sun deck which looks out over the sea and rainforest.
So, you’ll be in rather more luxurious circumstances than any bird, while still getting to enjoy stunning views
The hotel said: “The Rung-Nok (nest) clan had a reputation for intellectual and creative excellence, and was composed of artists, musicians, poets, astrologers, and philosophers.
“They believed that the future could be seen in the stars.

“Rung-Nok traditions inspired the design of these beautiful private pool villas.”
The resort is themed around the legend of four mythical tribes, the Pa-Ta-Pea (earth), the Khon-Jorn (wanderer), the We-Ha (sky), and the Rung-Nok (nest).
Accommodation comes in the form of clay pool cottages, tent pool villas, tree pool houses and bird’s nest pool villas.

The clay pool cottages are also impressive, made completely out of clay and coming with a pool, garden and balcony.
The ad reads: “The ‘Pa-Ta-Pea’ (earth) clan consisted of farmers, fishermen, gardeners, carpenters, blacksmiths, and miners.

“The clan built their homes on ground-level, using earth as a basic material for their walls, floors, ceilings, and furniture.”
