Europe’s premier freestyle resort, LAAX, Switzerland, is set to elevate its winter offerings with the launch of a new snowpark and updates to key facilities for the 2024-25 season.
The ‘Whoop De Doo’ snowpark, designed for all ages and skill levels, will feature rolling waves, smooth troughs, and banked curves. Perfect for beginners exploring freestyle or advanced riders seeking a relaxed run, the park combines skill-building fun with stunning alpine views.

As part of these enhancements, LAAX’s existing Free60 snowpark will shift to a freeride slope with maintained boxes and kick rails but less intensive upkeep. This change preserves LAAX’s total of five snowparks while diversifying its terrain.
Beyond the slopes, LAAX will unveil significant updates to its dining options. The expanded Freeride Base Nagens, opening December 21, 2024, will serve a variety of vegetarian-focused dishes, including salads, soups, and light bites, in a modernized mountain café setting. Nearby, the Segneshütte restaurant will adopt a blend of self-service and table service, with renovations introducing a cozy yet contemporary interior and a menu rooted in Swiss regional cuisine.
Freestyle enthusiasts can also look forward to the reopening of the Freestyle Academy, following a two-year renovation. Upgrades include a five-square trampoline with 360° cameras, an expanded skatebowl, a parkour zone with a jumping tower and airbag, and a new café and Vans store. For younger visitors, the KIDS Freestyle Academy offers safe spaces for those aged 0-8 to practice jumps and tricks.
Nestled in the Swiss Alps just 90 minutes from Zurich, LAAX combines freestyle innovation with sustainable tourism in one of Europe’s most breathtaking mountain landscapes. From skiing and snowboarding in winter to summer hiking and biking, LAAX continues to set the standard for year-round alpine adventures.
