A new survey by Internova Travel Group forecasts a significant rise in leisure travel for 2025, fueled by increased international trips, greater use of travel advisors, and growing interest in luxury and themed experiences.

The 2024 Internova Index: North American Traveler Insights revealed a 22% increase in international travel over the past year, with premium and budget travelers leading the resurgence. Looking ahead, 25% of respondents plan to take more leisure trips in 2025, with luxury travelers expected to drive the growth in international destinations.

  • International: Mexico remains the top choice, while Europe dominates among ultra-luxury travelers, led by the UK, France, and Italy. South America and Asia are emerging hotspots, with Chile, Cambodia, and China seeing 200% growth in interest.
  • Domestic: Florida and California top domestic preferences for packages and air/hotel bookings.
  • Themes: Wellness, culinary, and adventure experiences resonate with young and luxury travelers, reflecting a broader desire for meaningful, activity-driven trips.

Traveler Profiles
