British holidaymakers were seen making an early morning dash to secure the best sun loungers at their hotel.

A crowd hurried around the swimming pool as soon as it opened in the morning.

Armed with towels and beach bags, they were determined to claim prime poolside spots.

Sophie, one of the guests, observed this spectacle from the breakfast terrace.

She is staying at the four-star H10 Delfin in Salou, near Barcelona, Spain.

Despite the hotel’s no-reserve rule, many guests were adamant about securing their desired locations.

The 22-year-old said, “Every morning at 9 am sharp, people would sprint from the doors to get their sunbeds.

It’s usually the same ones every day.”

Sophie, a trainee teacher, shared with Luxury Travel Daily, “The dining area overlooks the pool, so everyone having breakfast watched as if it was a race.

One morning, a man outran a woman, and she was furious, shaking her head and rushing off to find a different bed.

The hotel had a ‘no-reserving sunbeds’ rule, but unfortunately, it was never enforced.”

She added, “One day, a hotel manager went around and removed towels belonging to people who had reserved them.

But that was around 11 am when most people had already returned to the pool.”

Another British guest, Annie, remarked, “Sad or what.”

Another added, “I just couldn’t be bothered.

Holidays are meant to be stress-free.”

A third commented, “The way they waddle around the pool is insane.”

Another chimed in, “My personal hell.”
