Disneyland Resort is welcoming the return of Halloween Time and Plaza de la Familia starting August 23, 2024, with a mix of returning favorites and new attractions designed to entertain visitors of all ages. Running through October 31, 2024, Halloween Time will feature themed décor, seasonal attractions, and festive entertainment across Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
This year, visitors can expect new experiences, including updated Halloween costumes for Mickey Mouse and friends, a daily showing of “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” at Disney California Adventure, and new autumn-themed dining options at the resort hotels.
The Main Street Pumpkin Festival, a centerpiece of the Halloween celebrations, will once again transform Main Street, U.S.A., into a pumpkin wonderland, anchored by the iconic Mickey Mouse Pumpkin.

A highlight of the season, Haunted Mansion Holiday, inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, returns with a brand-new gingerbread zombie display crafted by the fictional Dr. Finkelstein. Evenings at Disneyland Park will be marked by the “Halloween Screams” nighttime show, featuring Disney Villains, special effects, and on select nights, a dazzling fireworks display.
Disney California Adventure Park also joins in the Halloween spirit with spooky decorations and themed attractions. Notably, “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” will debut as a daily offering, providing a family-friendly, interactive show. Cars Land will once again transform into Radiator Screams, with seasonal overlays on popular attractions.
In addition to Halloween celebrations, Disneyland Resort will honor Día de los Muertos with Plaza de la Familia at Disney California Adventure Park, running from August 23 to November 2, 2024.
Starting August 30, guests can enjoy “The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate The Musical World of Coco!”—a new show featuring live performances of songs from Pixar’s Coco. Frontierland at Disneyland Park will also participate, showcasing Día de los Muertos decorations near Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante.
The sold-out Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party will also make its return to Disney California Adventure, running on select nights from August 25 to October 31, offering guests a chance to experience Halloween with special attractions, themed food and drinks, and a parade.
