Disney Cruise Line has announced its newest ship, the Disney Destiny, featuring spaces and experiences inspired by Disney’s iconic heroes and villains. The ship will embrace the dynamic interplay of light and dark that defines classic Disney storytelling, offering guests immersive environments themed around beloved characters from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel.
“The Disney Destiny is all about celebrating the bold, charismatic and driven characters at the heart of our favorite stories,” said Sharon Siskie, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line. “Who are our beloved heroes without the antagonists who challenge them to prevail? We want our guests to have fun with the unique theme of this ship, and we are having a blast creating spaces and entertainment experiences that pay tribute to the villains, anti-heroes, and mischief makers who have captivated Disney film and theme park audiences for generations.”

De Vil’s Piano Lounge
One of the standout venues on the Disney Destiny will be De Vil’s, a piano lounge inspired by Cruella de Vil from “One Hundred and One Dalmatians.” The adult-exclusive lounge will feature a Hollywood Regency-inspired aesthetic with a color palette of red, black, and white. Guests will enjoy trendy martinis, chic cocktails, and glamorous wines amid sultry tunes from a spotted piano, creating a lavish and stylish atmosphere.
Cask and Cannon
Another exciting addition is Cask and Cannon, a pub themed around the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise. This eclectic yet cozy watering hole will offer an extensive menu of rare, specialty, and vintage rums, along with “bootlegged” brews served straight from the barrel. The venue promises an evening of revelry and recreation, with guests sharing tales of high-seas adventures and enjoying live televised sporting events.
AquaMouse: “Sing a Silly Song”
The Disney Destiny will introduce a new storyline to AquaMouse, Disney Cruise Line’s signature water ride. The “Sing a Silly Song” show will feature an original soundtrack by Emmy award-winning composer Christopher Willis and lyricist Elyse Willis. Guests will join Mickey and Minnie on a trek up Villain Mountain, encountering fearsome Disney villains in humorous and surprising situations. This new show is one of four AquaMouse experiences aboard the Disney Destiny.
Interactive Villain Experiences
Throughout their voyage, guests will encounter Disney’s formidable foes, including Maleficent, Hades, Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, and Oogie Boogie. Special events and activities will offer exclusive interactions with these villains, enhancing the ship’s thematic experience. Highlights include a dance party in Oogie Boogie’s lair and an interactive Disney trivia event often interrupted by mischievous characters.
Haunted Mansion Parlor
The Haunted Mansion Parlor, debuting aboard the Disney Treasure in December 2024, will also feature on the Disney Destiny. This venue will evoke the atmosphere of a first-class drawing room from classic cruise liners, inspired by the original Haunted Mansion attraction. Guests will enjoy ghostly cocktails and exclusive haunted homewares, with a custom musical arrangement setting the stage for a spooky and immersive experience.
Ship Specifications and Future Plans
The Disney Destiny, at approximately 144,000 gross tons, will be powered by liquefied natural gas. This addition is part of Disney Cruise Line’s multi-year expansion, which includes the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Adventure, as well as new destinations like Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point in The Bahamas.
