Cunard’s newest ship, Queen Anne, arrived in New York today on her maiden voyage from Southampton, marking her North American debut. As Cunard’s first new ship in 14 years, Queen Anne sets a new standard in luxury cruising with 14 decks, 15 dining venues, and capacity for 3,000 guests.
The debut is historic for Cunard, with Captain Inger Klein Thorhauge commanding Queen Anne and Katie McAlister, the company’s president, leading its next chapter. This marks the first time in Cunard’s 185-year history that two women have held such pivotal roles.

Designed by Adam Tihany and a team of world-class designers, Queen Anne blends art deco heritage with modern elegance. The ship features 4,300 commissioned artworks, the “Bright Lights Society” cabaret venue, and enhanced wellness offerings, including the Pavilion Wellness Café and Harper’s Bazaar Wellness at Sea program.
Queen Anne’s arrival in New York also celebrates Cunard’s legacy with the city, dating back to 1847. As a pioneer of transatlantic and world cruises, Cunard continues to connect global travelers and cultures. Queen Anne’s 107-day inaugural World Voyage reflects this heritage, further solidifying Cunard’s role as a leader in luxury maritime travel.
