Crystal Lagoons has announced its latest venture, Ascensions on Lake Travis, marking the expansion of its Public Access Lagoons® (PAL®) concept in Texas.
This project, featuring a 3-acre crystalline lagoon for swimming and water sports, is set to transform the Mediterranean-styled area near Spicewood, just 45 minutes northwest of Austin.
The lagoon will be the centerpiece of a high-end hotel development, enhancing Crystal Lagoons’ presence in the hospitality industry.

Ascensions on Lake Travis will be the first PAL® project in the Austin Metro Area, offering a novel entertainment experience through ticketed access.
In collaboration with Austin Real Estate Ventures, the development will include luxury residential units, retail boutiques, restaurants, event spaces, concert venues, terraces, and amphitheaters. These features aim to provide a comprehensive PAL® experience, blending beach life with luxury amenities.
Crystal Lagoons’ technology ensures a sustainable approach to creating beach environments, reducing the need for long-distance travel for coastal recreation and thereby lowering the carbon footprint of Spicewood residents.
