Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH) has installed three beehives at its corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, Maryland, as part of a sustainability initiative in partnership with Bee Downtown. The hives, home to approximately 150,000 honeybees, will support local biodiversity by pollinating a 3-mile radius, potentially benefiting 18,000 acres of surrounding land.

This collaboration underscores Choice Hotels‘ commitment to environmental stewardship through its “Room to Be Green” program, which focuses on sustainability across its global hotel portfolio. The bees are expected to produce over 100 pounds of honey annually, and Choice associates will engage in educational programs about beekeeping and the importance of pollinators.
