Celebrity Cruises has launched Xcel ‘Dream Makers℠,’ a global initiative inviting vacationers to design their perfect getaway aboard the upcoming Celebrity Xcel, set to debut in November 2025. This innovative program gives travelers the chance to shape the ship’s key experiences, from culinary offerings to entertainment and interior design.
“Involving our guests in perfecting Celebrity Xcel ensures they love the product,” said Michael Scheiner, chief marketing and product officer of Celebrity Cruises. “When Xcel launches, guests won’t just find their happy place—they’ll have helped us build it.”

Participants in the Dream Makers program will:
- Select textiles, decor, and service concepts.
- Vote on dining options, table settings, and signature dishes.
- Influence entertainment, from playlists to costume designs.
The public’s input will bring to life seven new, yet-to-be-revealed experiences aboard the fifth ship in Celebrity’s award-winning Edge® Series.
Milestone in Innovation and Sustainability
Celebrity Xcel floated out of dry dock on January 18, marking a major construction milestone at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France. The ship will feature the industry’s first tri-fuel capable engine, supporting Royal Caribbean Group’s Destination Net Zero goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
Upcoming Itineraries
The Celebrity Xcel will launch with seven-night Caribbean voyages from Fort Lauderdale, stopping in destinations like the Bahamas, Mexico, and St. Thomas. In summer 2026, the ship will sail Mediterranean routes from Barcelona and Athens, with itineraries ranging from seven to 11 nights, including overnight stays in Madeira, Portugal.
