The property originally hosted an expansive adobe hacienda developed in 1824 by Don Estéban Munras, a Spanish diplomat, artist, and businessman. The Munras family’s Rancho San Vicente became renowned for its hospitality, a tradition that continues today.

Transformed into the Casa Munras Hotel and Cottages in the 1940s, the property became a beloved meeting spot for locals and visitors.
