BRP opens its new Design & Innovation Center in Palm Bay, Florida, enhancing R&D for marine products and contributing to local economic growth with innovative technologies.

BRP Inc., a global leader in powersports and marine products, has officially opened its Design & Innovation Center in Palm Bay, Florida, as part of its ongoing expansion in the region.

The new facility, focused on developing advanced on-water products, marks a significant investment in the marine industry and strengthens BRP’s innovation capabilities.

Over the past several years, BRP has enhanced its presence in Palm Bay by investing more than $15 million in its Research & Development (R&D) and testing facilities. This includes the acquisition of land that allows for diverse testing environments, further solidifying the company’s role as a key player in the local community.

With the opening of the Design & Innovation Center, BRP now employs 60 people in the area, contributing to the economic and social fabric of Palm Bay.

“Palm Bay plays a pivotal role in our innovation journey,” said José Boisjoli, President and CEO of BRP. “Innovation is in our DNA, and we are passionate about delivering outstanding riding experiences to customers worldwide.”

Denys Lapointe, Chief Design Officer at BRP, emphasized the importance of collaboration between design and engineering teams. “By combining design and advanced concepts with R&D, we are creating innovative products that push the boundaries of technology and offer unique experiences for our riders,” he noted.

Palm Bay’s proximity to the ocean provides the ideal environment for the development and testing of marine and powersports products. Among the notable creations from this location are the Manitou Cruise and Explore pontoons, the Alumacraft Trophy and Competitor aluminum boats, and the Quintrex Freestyler.

BRP’s Palm Bay facility is one of three design centers worldwide, working closely with its counterparts in Valcourt, Québec, and Sophia Antipolis, France. Together, these teams leverage BRP’s global resources to create cutting-edge products tailored to diverse markets and consumer needs.
