A woman has revealed how she and her husband flew to the party isle of Ibiza for eight hours of fun and frolics away from rainy Britain.
Forty-two-year-old Jenette Hardy and husband Daniel 49, decided to jet out from Manchester and spend a day eating tapas and drinking Sangria in the sun.
Jenette, director of an events entertainment company, fancied a change from the incessant grey Cumbrian skies so booked flights to sunnier climes to relax and unwind for the day.

And, all for less than £260.
“We work seven days a week in the summer and I wanted to have something to look forward to,” Jenette told Luxury Travel Daily.
“For me, a perfect day off is somewhere I can relax, eat nice food, have a drink and there is some sun.”
The couple started their journey at the crack of dawn at Manchester airport, arriving on the island at 9.50am.
Jenette said: “We explored the marina and viewed the super yachts.
“Then we wandered up through Ibiza Town and had a coffee at Plaça de la Constitució, where there was a market to browse and we could people watch.
“We took some photos and stopped in Plaça del Sol for a jug of sangria before walking to Figueretes Beach and a gluten-free tapas restaurant I had seen on Google.”
Following a feast, including Spanish favourites padron peppers and patatas bravas, and a paddle, it was time for a snooze on the beach.
Finally, after a packed eight hours of fun, the couple headed back to the airport for their 9:40pm flight.
Jenette said: “We left home at 1.30am and arrived back at 2am the following day.
“We chose Ibiza because the flights were reasonably cheap, we had a good amount of time there and knew it would likely be warm enough for a t-shirt in October.”
The couple spent £75 each on flights, £18 on airport parking, £78 on food and drink, £3 on a bus and £8 on souvenirs for their kids – a grand total of 257..
But this wasn’t a one-off for the pair, who are no strangers to an extreme day trip.
She said: “This year we went to Dublin for my husband’s birthday in January, we took my mother-in-law to Geneva in March and in February I took our two children, my brother-in-law and a friend to Belfast.”
Jenette also offered others advice on jet setting for the day.
She added: “You will be tired if you have had an early start so try and sleep on the plane.
“Plan bigger activities for the morning, so if you do get tired later on you are not too tired to enjoy them.
“Do your research before you go, Work out which one or two attractions you want to see and the transport system so you don’t waste time once you are there.
“And just go for it!”
