The 2024 International Beach Ultimate Elite Invite concluded in Sanya, China, with the Boracay Dragons edging out the Negros Island Flying Disc Association (NFDA) 11-10 in a gripping final at the Dadonghai Tourism Area.
The Dragons’ victory capped an event that not only showcased elite-level play but also highlighted Sanya’s expanding role as a sports-tourism destination.

Organized by the Hainan Flying Disc Association and Chenyang Sports and sanctioned by the World Flying Disc Federation, the event brought together key figures from local sports and tourism, including Sanya City’s Tourism Bureau Deputy Director Huang Ze.
The closing ceremony celebrated the achievements of all teams, with the Shanghai Sampo Eagles Youth Team winning the Spirit Award for sportsmanship and Team Orbit Ultimate securing third place.
As part of the China Lifestyle Sports Event Consumption Media Season, the tournament featured 16 teams from six countries, drawing over 300 athletes and integrating tourism and sports to popularize flying disc culture in China.
This high-profile event provided a unique platform for international and domestic players to compete, elevating the sport’s visibility across the country.
With plans to host more international competitions, Sanya continues to build a strong sports-tourism economy, reinforcing its status as a global sports destination and contributing to the city’s economic and cultural appeal.
