A new report from global chauffeur services provider Blacklane reveals that over one-third of business travelers lose up to a full day of productivity due to poorly planned trips, underscoring the need for premium travel experiences.
As business travel rebounds in 2024, the report, The Changing Face of Travel and Work, shows how fragmented journeys and lack of amenities negatively impact productivity, with 86% of respondents reporting a loss of at least one hour during their trips.

The report, surveying travelers from the U.S., UK, and UAE, highlights that 45% of C-level executives lose between four and eight hours of work time due to inefficient travel plans.
Blacklane’s CEO, Dr. Jens Wohltorf, emphasized that luxury travel services, like chauffeur-driven vehicles, can alleviate this stress and improve productivity, especially as 51% of U.S. travelers are willing to pay out-of-pocket for such upgrades.
The rise of “bleisure” travel, where business and leisure are combined, is also a growing trend, with 90% of participants merging the two to reduce stress and enhance motivation.
Blacklane’s premium services aim to address these evolving business travel needs, offering solutions that enhance comfort, productivity, and well-being during trips.
