On September 28, 1/ST and The h.wood Group introduced The California Crown, a new luxury entertainment event at Santa Anita Park.
The inaugural event, blending sports, entertainment, and culture, attracted stars including Beyoncé, Cher, Sharon Stone, and JAY-Z.

The highlight of the day was Argentina’s Subsanador winning the $1 million California Crown (GI) race, with a custom Chrome Hearts trophy presented by Cher.
Over $23.5 million was wagered during the event, setting a record for the autumn meet.
The California Crown featured performances by Gryffin, Lil Yachty, and others, and exclusive areas designed by LA’s top hospitality brands, signaling a new West Coast tradition at the intersection of luxury and Thoroughbred racing.
