Azamara Cruises has announced its much-anticipated return to Alaska in the summer of 2026, marking the end of a seven-year break.
Starting in May 2026, Azamara Pursuit will embark on a series of 10- to 13-day voyages, offering immersive experiences in Alaska’s remote wilderness, with extended port stays, cultural encounters, and unforgettable wildlife adventures.
The small-ship cruise line, known for its Destination Immersion® experiences, will provide guests with the opportunity to visit less accessible locations like Kodiak, Dutch Harbor, and Icy Strait Point, while spending more than 10 hours in major Alaskan ports such as Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan. Highlights of the voyages include whale-watching, bear-spotting excursions, and the chance to explore Alaska’s glaciers.

Michael Pawlus, Head of Itinerary Planning, emphasized Azamara’s commitment to offering deeper connections with Alaska, while CEO Dondra Ritzenthaler added, “Our focus on extended stays and unique land experiences brings guests closer to the heart of Alaska, where larger ships can’t venture.”
Guests will also enjoy the exclusive AzAmazing Evening in Ketchikan, featuring local traditions, axe-throwing, and a private performance at the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show. These cruises aim to create lasting memories, combining adventure, culture, and luxury.
Bookings for these special itineraries are now available on Azamara’s website.
