The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has unveiled the agenda for the seventh edition of Culture Summit Abu Dhabi, set for April 27–29, 2025, at Manarat Al Saadiyat.
This year’s summit, themed “Culture for Humanity and Beyond,” will spotlight how culture intersects with technology and global governance, with a special focus on AI’s growing influence.

A host of prominent global figures—including Mo Gawdat, Susan Buck-Morss, Iyad Rahwan, Glenn D. Lowry, and Koyo Kouoh—will deliver keynote lectures. Creative discussions will feature industry leaders such as designer Thomas Heatherwick, visual artist Refik Anadol, and costume designer Colleen Atwood.
Key sessions will tackle AI’s transformative role in the creative industries, featuring topics like “The AI Revolution,” “The Double-Edged Sword of AI in Film,” and “The Ownership Dilemma in Music.”
Discussions will also explore culture’s role in sustainability and global governance, with former leaders such as Jenny Shipley and Iveta Radičová joining panels on cultural diplomacy.
The Summit will also host the second “MONDIACULT Ministerial Dialogue” on AI’s cultural impact and peace-building, alongside sessions on UNESCO’s framework for arts education.
Cultural partners include UNESCO, Google, The Economist, and the Guggenheim Museum. DCT Abu Dhabi says the event will promote innovation, policy action, and cultural exchange to build a sustainable and inclusive future.
