Mohegan Sun and Tao Group Hospitality have officially opened Beauty & Essex, an opulent new restaurant and lounge, blending fine dining with a hidden speakeasy ambiance.
The grand opening on February 7, 2025, drew eager guests to experience its acclaimed cuisine, creative cocktails, and vintage-inspired design.
Spanning 11,000 square feet inside Mohegan Sun’s Casino of the Sky, the restaurant features a signature pawn shop entrance leading to multiple themed dining areas, including the intimate Pearl Lounge & Bar, the striking Peacock Dining Room, and the exclusive Locket Private Dining Room.

Co-founded by celebrity chef Chris Santos, Beauty & Essex offers globally inspired, shareable dishes such as Red Snapper Tacos, Wagyu Steak Tartare, and 24 oz. Dry-Aged Bone-in Ribeye.
A dedicated vegan menu includes dishes like Miso-Glazed Crispy Eggplant and Wild Mushroom Risotto. The handcrafted cocktail menu features signature drinks such as the Beauty Elixir with Bombay Gin and sparkling rosé, and the Ice Spice with Patrón Reposado and Thai chili.
The restaurant’s speakeasy-style entrance doubles as a curated pawn shop, showcasing rare guitars, vintage jewelry, and music memorabilia. This immersive experience, a hallmark of the Beauty & Essex brand, adds to the venue’s intrigue.
