“This landmark embodies our vision of making Qetaifan Island North a premier global destination for tourism and leisure,” he said, adding that The RIG 1938 is more than a recreational attraction—it is a tribute to Qatar’s rich history in oil and gas exploration.
Standing 85 meters tall, The RIG 1938 combines entertainment with engineering excellence, offering panoramic views of Qetaifan Island North and Lusail City. The tower is connected to Meryal Water Park by a historical train, enhancing the visitor experience.

As the centerpiece of the 1.3 million-square-meter Qetaifan Island North, the park exemplifies the island’s fusion of tradition and modernity, alongside the Rixos Premium, Azure Beach Club, residential projects, and cultural landmarks like the Twenty-Seven Mosque.
This achievement aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030, reinforcing Qatar’s position as a leader in tourism and entertainment innovation.
