Princess Cruises marked a major construction milestone for its second Sphere-Class vessel, Star Princess, with a float-out ceremony at the Fincantieri Shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.
The traditional maritime event, symbolizing the first time a ship touches water, sets the stage for Star Princess‘s Fall 2025 debut.

Star Princess follows the successful launch of sister ship Sun Princess and will feature cutting-edge design elements, including The Dome and The Sphere, while being powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Princess Cruises President John Padgett praised the teamwork and craftsmanship that brought the ship to life.
Veteran officers Commodore Nick Nash and Captain Gennaro Arma will serve as masters of the vessel, with a leadership team that includes experienced Chief Engineers and Hotel General Managers.
The 4,300-guest Star Princess promises to elevate the cruising experience with innovative architectural features and advanced amenities. Voyages for the inaugural season are already on sale.
