Highgate rebrands four Algarve resorts under Marriott’s Westin and Marriott brands, with extensive redesigns planned for 2024 to enhance guest experiences and align with brand standards.

Highgate has rebranded four resorts in Algarve, Portugal, under Marriott International’s Westin and Marriott brands.

The properties—Westin Salgados Beach Resort, The Residences at Westin Salgados, Algarve Marriott Salgados Golf Resort & Conference Center, and Marriott Residences Salgados—mark Highgate’s first Marriott-affiliated assets in Portugal.

As part of the rebranding, all properties will undergo extensive redesigns starting in late 2024, with reopenings planned for 2025. Upgrades will enhance guest experiences, aligning with Westin and Marriott standards.

“We are excited to refresh these resorts and deliver enhanced hospitality experiences,” said Alexandre Solleiro, CEO of Highgate Portugal.

The rebranded resorts offer beachfront access, luxury accommodations, and extensive amenities including golf courses, wellness facilities, conference spaces, and family-friendly activities. Highgate’s growing Portugal portfolio includes 17 hotels across key regions like Lisbon and Porto.
