A woman has triumphed over thousands of other Brits to win the trip of a lifetime after facing a terrifying cancer scare.
Brenda Muirhead, 56, from Fife, Scotland, hadn’t taken a holiday in five years.
Last year, during a routine mammogram, she received devastating news from doctors who discovered signs of cancer.

Since then, Brenda has undergone surgery and radiotherapy and will be on medication for the next five years.
However, she considers herself fortunate that the cancer was caught early, and the thought of a holiday became her beacon of hope during those difficult times.
Brenda decided to enter a raffle for a £2,500 trip to Jamaica, purchasing a single £1.99 ticket through Raffolux, a digital raffle platform.
“I entered the holiday raffle because we needed some positivity,” Brenda shared with Luxury Travel Daily.
“I knew my family could never afford a holiday like that, especially since I’m no longer able to work. It sounded amazing, and I just thought to myself, ‘You never know.'”
To her amazement, Brenda was awakened at 2 a.m. by a notification ping announcing her as the winner. “The holiday to Jamaica really kept me going when I was struggling,” she said. “I woke up at 2 a.m. to the winner’s notification and couldn’t get back to sleep!”
Brenda was also diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 19 years ago, which has severely limited her mobility, preventing her from going on holiday since 2019.
Fortunately, she was able to bring a mobility scooter to Jamaica, which made the trip possible.
In addition to her dream holiday, Brenda has won other fantastic prizes through Raffolux, including a Lay-Z-Spa, a trip to Dublin, and £1,000 in cash. Brenda, who often chooses to donate to Alzheimer’s charities—after witnessing the disease affect her uncle and other loved ones—said, “It’s even better knowing that the money is being given to charity.”
Raffolux, launched in 2019, has awarded over £17 million worth of prizes to date.
