With holiday season in full swing, Brits are jetting off to chase the summer sun.
But some people are taking their desire for the rays a bit further than others – with yet another sunbed war captured on camera.
Kayla Hodgson was staying at the Flamingo Oasis Hotel in Benidorm, Spain, when the carnage took place.
She took a video of the holidaymakers racing to secure a sun lounger by the pool, which has since racked up thousands of views online.
The TikTok (@kaylalouisexox ) is shot overhead in a helicopter view, perfectly displaying the rush to nab a good spot.
Holiday-goers swarm the pool area in seconds.
“Every morning at around 7.30am, people will start queuing up at both pool entrances doors,” the 28-year-old care manager told Luxury Travel Daily.
“The pool doesn’t open until around 8am, sometimes 8.30.
“As soon as the doors open they are like wild geese running for a bed.
“I have watched people get a bed in their chosen spot, turn around to get another bed and someone has stole their first bed.
“There hasn’t been any big arguments or fights, however there is no need to queue up and run.
“Every morning I went down after breakfast at around 9.30/9.45 and still managed to get two sun loungers right in front of the pool.”
Social media users have been quick to comment on the sunbed wars.
Tess said: “Wouldn’t dare run for a sunbed.”
Another commented on the choice of music for the clip: “That’s hilarious with the Benny Hill music.”
Another user said: “That’s why I book club rooms.”
Someone else added: “I’ve seen that.”
