Holidaymakers are discovering the benefits of resort day passes, allowing them to enjoy luxury amenities without the cost of an overnight stay.

This trend offers a practical solution for budget-conscious travelers, providing access to pools, saunas, and day beds at upscale hotels for a fraction of the cost of a room.

The concept is gaining popularity as the rising cost of living impacts travel plans.

A July 2023 survey by Booking.com revealed that over 60% of respondents consider their cost of living when planning travel for 2024.

Resort day passes cater to this need by offering luxury experiences at lower prices.

Typically, a luxury hotel room in the U.S. costs around £313 ($400) per night, according to CoStar, with rates expected to rise further.

In contrast, day passes often start as low as $25.

Companies like ResortPass have capitalized on this trend, partnering with high-end hotels such as Waldorf-Astoria, JW Marriott, and Fontainebleau.

ResortPass, which holds a 95% share of the day-guest market, boasts 3 million users and offers access in over 250 cities.

CEO Michael Wolf highlights the appeal, saying, “We enable people a more local way of getting away without going away,” and notes that customers frequently spend more on hotel amenities than overnight guests.

This innovative travel option not only provides an affordable luxury experience but also complements other types of travel, allowing more people to enjoy high-end hotel facilities without the full financial commitment of a stay.
