The 35th Shanghai Tourism Festival began on September 14 with a grand parade on the Nanjing Road Pedestrian Mall, featuring performances by Olympic athletes and international artists.
Running through October 6, the Festival celebrates cultural diversity with over 100 events designed to engage both locals and international visitors.

The opening ceremony included 25 performance teams from across Asia, Europe, America, and Oceania, with Olympic athletes like Paris 2024 competitor Tan Haiyang joining in the festivities.
Highlights include themed events such as “Sleepless Nights of Fun” and “Waterfront Adventures,” along with exhibitions like “The Great Art of Dunhuang” and “Civilization of Ancient Egypt.”
Each district in Shanghai offers unique experiences, from waterway tours to food festivals, while sightseeing bus tours feature immersive VR exhibitions.
Special promotions, including half-price tickets to top attractions, are available throughout the Festival, with brands like Trip.com and Greenland Group providing exclusive travel offers.
The Festival aims to showcase Shanghai as a premier global tourist destination, celebrating its rich cultural heritage and vibrant urban culture.
